Ginger-Cinnamon Apple Cider-tini

Martinis are normally made with vodka, but today we’re mixing up with Apple Cider so the entire family can enjoy.

For this recipe, we’ll need a ginger-cinnamon simple syrup. Here’s how to make a homemade one. For this you’ll need:

INGREDIENTS (GINGER-CINNAMON SIMPLE SYRUP)

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1 cup water

  • 2 cinnamon sticks

  • 1-2 inches of ginger root, peeled and thinly sliced

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Mix all ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat until sugar is completely dissolved

  • Remove from heat, set aside to cool

  • Once cooled, strain mixture to remove ginger and cinnamon sticks, then pour the syrup into a mason jar and store in the refrigerator.

  • While that’s chillin’, let’s make the apple-tini.

INGREDIENTS (GINGER-CINNAMON APPLE CIDER-TINI)
*makes 1 drink

  • 1 cup apple cider

  • 2 tbsp ginger-cinnamon simple syrup

  • Ice for mixing

  • Cinnamon sugar for rimming

  • Apple slice or cinnamon sticks to garnish

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Prepare martini glass by wetting the rim with apple cider and then dipping in cinnamon-sugar.

  • Add ice, apple cider, and simple syrup to cocktail shaker and shake.

  • Pour into a prepared rimmed martini glass and garnish with an apple slice and/or cinnamon stick.
